The Farmers

ERIC is a skilled “Jack of all trades”- a necessary
trait for success in farming.
Building and restoring older style
structures is his forte.
Equipment maintenance, repairs and
fabrication of “things” also comes naturally.
Currently, Eric makes the cheese and
runs the saw mill & production of the hay crop.

ANN is a multigenerational farmer, growing up on a
dairy cow farm in central Pennsylvania.
Animal husbandry and milking are second nature.
Currently, Ann is working on improvements to the
pasture/browse areas and nutrition of the goats.
The goal is to continue building the flavor, nutritional
value and cheese yield components of the milk.

The sweet golden retriever
who keeps an eye
on every one and thing.

  • Changing Seasons

The Autumn Season is rolling towards us. Record breaking heat disguises this idea. but the upper branches on the sugar maples tells a different story. "Blaze a New Trail this Autumn" read a local advertisement. Well worn paths have lots of merit, New unfamiliar paths do as well. Come visit the quiet Tuttle Road in Sterling and explore a new culinary path with Crystal Brook Farm Goat Cheese. The fall cheese is full of sweetness and flavor as the foraging plants change with the season. Perfect for pairing with fresh picked apples -- Sterling is well known for its apples! Around the corner on Heywood Road are enjoyable, less traveled hiking trails managed by Mass. Fisheries and Wildlife. Ann's recently released, "The Dairy Goat Handbook" is available at our On-Farm Store, and online outlets like Amazon. Learn interesting dairy goat and basic animal husbandry facts to explore your GOAT-titude! & wow the group on trivia night!! Self guided farm tours are free and open during daylight hours, Wed. - Sun. Guided tours are available by appointment only. See Dooryard/Tours section. ??? email us at, call or stop by... 192 TUTTLE ROAD STERLING, MA 01564 978-422-6646
