  • Catch up and SPRING!

HAPPY APRIL! Wow= Goat finished kidding 2 weeks ago -- and I have caught up on my sleep! 91 total kids born to 42 does. 47 males + 44 females. A good kidding season. The milder winter certainly made life a bit easier this year. Milking is in full swing -- and cheese is rolling out the door again! I'm happy to have a steady routine in the barn now. Pasture fences were set up yesterday so the goats have more space to clamber around. The kids are learning the all important significance of an electric fence. Only takes one small snap for all of the kids to keep a safe distance. THE ON FARM STORE IS OPEN!!! Store hours are Wednesday - Sunday 7 am - 7 pm. Stop by and pick up the spring goat cheese, honey .. and shortly eggs. ALSO - signed copies of THE DAIRY GOAT HANDBOOK- are available. Good spring present for all the goat people on your family and friends list. I am looking for new outlets to carry Crystal Brook Farm Goat Cheese. Ask your CSA farmers or local merchant to carry our Massachusetts Farmstead Goat Cheese - email to Ann at Crystalbrookfarm@comcast.net. Spread the cheer and nutritional goodness of CBF -- fresh, pure and natural Goat Cheese. We're working on a new T-Shirt design --These will be available for the 2016 Farmers Market Season! I know everyone wears their CBF shirts to the "yard only" stage -- so its time for a new one! YEA.. Farm tours and educational opportunities abound here. Email or call -- and let's arrange a date and time. Pick a subject to learn about and I will custom arrange a learning session for any size group. ADVANCE notice is necessary . Email Ann at crystalbrookfarm@comcast.net, call or stop by... 192 TUTTLE ROAD STERLING, MA 01564 978-422-6646
