The fall leaves have mostly fallen, and we are preparing for the colder days ahead. While we have a day set aside for Thanks Giving, I think its best to give thanks throughout every day. After setting a new fence for the goats this morning, a Marsh Hawk.. aka Northern Harrier.. glided over the field. What a sight! Brilliant white rump patch, banded tail, rufous breast and powerful wings. This agile raptor amazed me with its smooth, definite flight, searching amongst the field brush and cattails =looking for prey. Smaller birds hastily flew out of its way, which is what really drew my eye to the sky. I watched in awe and wonder. and said a word of Thanks.
Gratitude is a powerful energy. Let us realize more graciousness in our lives. Be Full of Thanks.
